Barnardo's works directly with over 100,000 children, young people and their families every year. They run 394 vital projects across the UK, including counselling for children who have been abused, fostering and adoption services, vocational training and disability inclusion groups. Every Barnardo's project is different, but each believes in the potential in every child and young person, no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through. Barnardo's aim is to give children back their future.

Help For Hero's was launched in October 2007 in response to the desire of ordinary people to do something practical to help our wounded service men and women. As individuals, we are powerless to prevent war and we feel helpless that we are unable to stop our men and women from being killed and wounded. Help For Hero's is strictly non-political and their aim is very simple - to ensure that our wounded service personnel get the best help, support and futures that they deserve.
