My grandfather, Edward Samuel Smith, had the first fish and chip shop in the town [arguably] at the above address.
Perhaps as early as 1909. I'm searching for a photograph of the premises showing the display of wet fish in the rectangular window way abbuting the pavement - is there one out there somewhere?
